Flower Essences

Flower essences are the vibrational message of a flower transmitted to water by solarization. They work by introducing an energy into the person’s energy field to bring balance on a physical, emotional, mental or spiritual level helping us to fully integrate a higher state of consciousness into our daily lives. Each flower represents a specific behavior or state of being and works to bring it into balance. By focusing on the specific personality or feelings of the patient, their physical distress or unhappiness dissolves as the healing potential within the bodies is unblocked and once again begins to flow.

How I Discovered Flower Essences

The first time I came across flower essences, was at a metaphysical bookstore in my mid twenties. I purchased a combo remedy called Abund Essence, to help one receive and open to abundance. Within the next 30 days, I was offered free furniture and home décor from a friend, sold three of my photography prints and received invitation and free ticket to take a trip to the West Coast with a family member who has never offered this before and does not choose to travel very much. I also had just found an amazing supportive spiritual community and was letting in support and healing in a powerful way. All these things happening so close together that I became very curious about what flower essence remedies are and how they help heal. I began reading everything I could about them and taking classes. I began trying many of them out on myself and eventually making combination essences for myself and others.

History of Flower Essences?

Flower Essence remedies were developed by Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s. Dr. Bach was a surgeon who researched bacteria and vaccines but felt dissatisfied with the way doctors were expected to concentrate on diseases and ignore the whole person. He aspired to a more holistic approach to medicine. He began to see correlations between his vaccines and the principles of homeopathy. He collected plants and focused particularly flowers, as they were the most highly developed part of the plant. He was seeking to find a purer remedy focused more on balance and healing the whole and less focused on a specific disease. He eventually left a successful medicine practice to devote the rest of his life to this new system of remedies, relying more on his intuition and natural gifts as a healer. In his work,” Heal Thyself,” he speaks about his belief in the existence of the soul, and how the root of disease and unhappiness is often linked with conflict from either the material world or other people, leading one away from the soul’s real path. Dr. Bach developed a system of 38 remedies, each directed at a particular behavior characteristic or emotional state.

Since this development, several more lines of remedies have been created, focusing on plants in other native lands, such as North American and Range of Light line of FES, Alaskan Essences

and Australian Bush Flowers. Some practitioners prefer to use the original kit of Bach Flowers. Many practitioners prefer to make or use essences that are from native plants where they live. While others may just intuitively be drawn to a particular line. I use a remedies from several of the lines. I love the potency of the Bush Flowers and like using FES line, along with locally made essences.

Dosages

Take 2-4 drops in water, or directly under the tongue, 2-4 times a day, preferably as far away from meals as possible. Consistency is more important the quantity.
