Full Moon in Aquarius: Truth and Transformation

On July 23rd, at 9:37 p.m. CDT, the full moon in 1.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact. This will be the first of two full moons we will have in Aquarius. The second one will be exactly Twenty-eight days later on August 22nd at 7:02 am CDT. This gives a double dose of the Aquarius energy.

This full moon liberates our minds, shakes us out of complacency, and shows us where we have been looking through the lens of polarization. Our culture has become fixed in its allegiance to groups, community ideals, and belonging that we have lost our connection to the heart of humanity. This full moon comes as a needed reality check. Expect the unexpected. Revolutionary insights come like divine lightning to shatter our old paradigm, help us release shadow loyalties, and open a new pathway of potential.

2021 Year of Change

This full moon is here to highlight how far we’ve come this year. 2021 has been a time of awakenings and intuitive perception and foundational changes. With Jupiter having spent most of the year in Aquarius and Saturn transiting in Aquarius, we feel our growth edge to expand our ways of thinking and perceiving. Aquarius is the sign of the Visionary, the Innovator, Genius, Ideas and Ideals. We see the growth and manifestation from our Aquarian Vision for our life that we clarified six months ago. These visionary seeds were planted during the Great Conjunction in December 2020 and were fertilized with the new moon in Aquarius back in February. What we planted early in the year is now in full bloom.

The full moon represents closure and completion. With the completion of a cycle, there is a new beginning and a new understanding of ourselves. The energy of a full moon is heightened, and emotions, feelings, mental processes, and dreams are all amplified. When the Sun and Moon oppose each other during a full moon, it can cause tension and uncomfortable friction, but it is also a powerful time of amplification, emotional truth, vision, and possibility.

Working with the Aquarius – Leo polarity

The Moon in Aquarius opposes the Sun in Leo, which highlights the power of our individual creativity and how we can offer our unique gifts in collaboration with others. New creative ideas will emerge in at least one area of life. The revelations that we have now will bring new opportunities and open the door to new pathways.

Each of us is invited to get creatively experimental, to play, to risk being visible, to lead with our heart and embody our own unique light. In order to do that, we need to look at what is out of alignment. To live our vision, we may need to be honest about where we have been caught up in fixed ways of thinking, in drama, self-centeredness, polarization and disconnectedness from humanity. This full moon asks us to balance and integrate our heart and our mind. As we begin to shed the layers of performance and conditioning, we connect to a greater truth and reclaim our authenticity. How can we merge the  Aquarian genius vision to our Leo generous open heart and lead from this place?

Aquarius the agent of change

Aquarius is the sign of collaborative groups, social circles, and humanitarian efforts. This moon amplifies the power of collaboration and inclusivity. When we lead from our heart and bring authenticity and meaning to our words and actions, we connect with, and honor, all of humanity and allow space for unique expression. There is liberation, freedom, and peace when we live our truth in a way that also honors and supports the uniqueness of others. This is the true enlightened rebellion from the status quo. We awaken to old patterns and ways of thinking that no longer serve us and to realign. When we honor each individual’s essence and live in inclusivity, we embody our highest expression of service that nourishes the whole ecosystem. We all have an important role to play in the evolution of humanity, and in order to get there, we need to live beyond binary thinking and polarization to allow space for all our unique expressions shine, and thrive together.
