The full moon in 2°55’ of Sagittarius on Thursday, May 23rd (8:53 a.m. CDT) prompts us to create spaciousness for embarking on our journeys and for new growth to emerge.
While on our path of spiritual evolution, we have been continually reaching the edges of our current limits so that we might expand beyond old versions of ourselves. This full moon reveals what we have been learning and supports us in reclaiming our power.
The last several weeks have brought a profound inner transformation—which may have felt like an unraveling. But now we now have a new understanding of what we have been learning. These revelations shape our belief systems and help us to leave old identities behind.
All that was summoned through the darkness is now making space for illumination.
“The interesting thing is that the more willing you are to step out of your comfort zone, the more comfortable you feel in your life. Situations that used to arouse fear and nausea become easier to relax.”
Pema Chödrön
This full moon corresponds to the Sagittarius new moon on November 23rd, 2022. These past 18 months have been a process of unlearning our old conditioning.
Through this shedding, we are able to deepen our confidence in ourselves and believe in our capabilities to take the leap that is required for the next chapter of our soul’s growth.

This Cycle Calls for Courage
This lunation guides us to recognize where we are making choices out of fear or reaction, so we can take steps to rebalance our nervous system and listen to what we need. We bring awareness to where we are still holding onto the familiar and where we feel it is too scary to fully let go.
We can bring our intention and attention to what must be released to prepare for what is coming next, and we are invited to create the space that is vital to initiate change.
We can easily be locked into an all-or-nothing perception of a circumstance and lose sight of the bigger picture that is orchestrating this essential transformation. We may perceive adversity or challenge and feel stuck in old patterns; however, this cycle asks us to step away from the situation and access the inner wisdom that will help us shift our approach, adjust our expectations or discover new resources that support our next steps forward.
When we take the steps that are consistent with our need for freedom, exploration and new journeys, we liberate ourselves from the constraints of the past and can fully embrace the exciting possibilities of the future.
“Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.”
Mandy Hale
There are changes that have been happening within us. Some of the old identities, patterns, habits, and beliefs are not sustainable and are not supportive of the new creative expression that desires to be birthed through us and as us. Along with excitement, there may also be angst and uncertainty as we are called to surrender and let go. However, we are asked to trust that the old forms we are burning away will allow new growth to emerge, and that this is a necessary process that will lead to our personal growth and transformation.
This cycle asks that we cultivate the courage to take risks, leading from our passion, enthusiasm and inner knowing.
In the process, we are to consider the right use of our power and take steps that do not cause harm. If we avoid acts of dominance that can rob us of our life force, we can use our power to empower others instead.
The Gemini – Sagittarius Polarity
Gemini represents our learning, language and our interconnectedness with all things. Through this sign, we create a cohesion in our mind that allows us to understand how things work and continue to follow our natural curiosity to learn more.
Sagittarius steers us away from our regular way of thinking so that we can more accurately interpret what information we receive. When we go beyond our current reality, we are exposed to new paths and new truths. We also explore our higher purpose to life and what we believe. Through this sign, we learn how to be guided by our morals and ethics.
Working with this polarity necessitates pausing to reflect on the information we have gathered to support our growth. We must ask ourselves: What is all this learning for? By continuing to ask the big questions of life and challenge our own belief systems, we can continue to grow, be present and engaged. We must learn to remain teachable and be open to the guidance of the present moment and to receiving direction from our life experience. It is from this place that we access our intuitive knowing and, as a result, can live a life that is authentic and aligned to our truth.

We are Invited to Dream Big
Jupiter is wrapping up its year-long transit in Taurus and ending the cycle with two powerful conjunctions. The first conjunction was with Uranus and now the conjunction is with Venus. As we connect to the final degrees of Taurus, we reflect on what we have learned regarding our self-worth and self-honoring. Do we now feel more connected to our authentic values and how we live? This past year has shown us how to open to a deeper resonance of what is genuinely and vibrationally connected. We have been shifting to feel a stronger connection to both ourselves and the Universe that supports our journey. We reflect on what is necessary to feel abundance and we deepen our ability to receive. What is truly meant for us will not pass us by. To attract what serves our future stages of growth, we are invited to surrender and soften, and to allow and align with what naturally resonates.
This full moon chart holds a unique alignment of Jupiter, Venus and Neptune. This configuration asks us to dream big and acknowledge our power of being a co-creator with the Universe. We can dissolve the boundaries from a two-dimensional view of our world and awaken to a three-dimensional way of being. We are directed to slow down and feel the call to adventure that matches our destiny. How would our perspective change if we saw the bigger picture of our lives? How do we view what is coming to completion if we believe in possibility and new opportunities ahead?
“If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is—infinite.”
William Blake
Authentic self-expression is being reclaimed at this time. To feel this more fully, we may need to face what is in the way. Learning through contrast and connecting to our relationship with jealousy, greed, or separation can shine a light on where we get in our own way—especially when calling in the abundance we desire.
Our soul is yearning for a larger container for creative expression and the freedom to follow our hearts.
We must shed the demands of our wounded ego and call forth an abundance that honors the highest good of all. When we let go of the ways we seek to control, we open to a big world full of infinite possibilities, grace and resources.
This full moon is aligned with the asteroid Lilith in Sagittarius, guiding us to learn more about our value through learning and exploring the world. We are called to walk from the places where we are not truly honored and navigate the next steps of our journey from a place of self-respect.
This lunation supports the practice of rewilding. We listen to our inner rhythms and trust in our intuitive wisdom to navigate the next steps of the unknown. We are invited to release old forms and places of familiarity to live from our authentic nature.
This cosmic weather brings a powerful opportunity to give our soul currency and take more significant risks to share our creative skills and our ability to be nourished and supported by life.
“Living by synchronicity isn’t merely about getting messages. It is about growing the poetic consciousness that allows us to taste and touch what rhymes and resonates in the world we inhabit, and how the world-behind-the-world reveals itself by fluttering the veils of our consensual reality.”
Robert Moss
We Perceive From a Beginner’s Mind
This lunation initiates a new cycle. It is vital to approach this journey with fresh eyes and an open mind. When we let go of preconceived notions, we make room for curiosity and the prospect of the unexpected. Sagittarius is the archetype of the Explorer and is guided by their passion, enthusiasm and intuitive wisdom. There is a beauty to the beginning. If we are receptive and teachable, we can learn from our life’s journey. If we are bold, open, curious and present, we can clearly see where synchronicity is guiding us. We can merge with the mystery and see the divine in the awe and wonder of the natural world.
This cycle asks us to cultivate trust of the Sacred Fool and observe everything unfolding as though we are witnessing it for both the first and last time and to take in all the richness that experience is offering.

The Invitation
Full moons are times of culmination. We see things from a new vantage point and become more aware of what needs to change. Some changes we may have been feeling for a long time, and some may be shocking and disorienting. It is important to honor all that we have learned, all that we feel and all that we are completing in this cycle of our lives.
“I want to discourage you from choosing anything or making any decision simply because it is safe. Things of value seldom are.”
Toni Morrison
This lunation supports us in removing that which doesn’t align with who we are now. We surrender the familiar to create space for new growth, soul connections, and environments that nurture and foster our authentic soul expression and vision for the future.
Now, we are called to see something through. We close old chapters and walk through new doors of possibility to discover new thresholds of who we are.
