The full moon in (14 °) Aries on October 6th at 10:48 p.m. CDT asks you to be brave.
This lunation is initiating bold new beginnings. We are invited to take inspired action toward our expansion.
Aries energy puts us in touch with our desires. What is it that we truly want? Sometimes, though, what we want isn’t actually what we need. This cycle guides us to slow down and feel into our embodied truth to honor what we really feel and most require so that we can follow our instincts and inspiration, moving forward with intention. We reflect on who we are at this point in our lives and what matters most.
This is an important time to take action, stand in our power, shed layers, reveal what is hidden, and hold space for vulnerability.
A full moon can stimulate our emotional body and make us aware of suppressed or ignored feelings. But we are rising from the ashes with newfound strength. This full moon also closes the eclipse portal and guides us to further integrate all that was activated during the month of September.
“Begin, be bold, and venture to be wise”
Horace
This full moon correlates to the solar eclipse in Aries that occurred on April 8th, 2024. We clarify our past roles and identities and contemplate how we will proceed based on who we are now. The past 18 months have been a cycle of realigning with our authentic self. In order to communicate truthfully with others, we must get radically honest with ourselves. We are better able to recognize what doesn’t work for us in our relationships so we can honor what is essential.
On the same day of the full moon, Mercury enters the sign of Scorpio. With both Mars and Mercury in the sign of Scorpio we feel our passions and convictions. We are more willing to work through something that is serving our bigger transformation. We prompted to go deep in conversations and get to the core of what is motivating both our needs and wants.
This lunation beckons us forward to initiate a new cycle. We are prompted to follow our intuition to strike out in a different direction, trusting our instincts to guide us forward.
We may have felt frustrated with delays and the curveballs that the universe has been throwing at us, but this full moon reveals the ways in which the detours were a purposeful redirection to align us with our core sense of self. This was necessary for our growth, and as a result, we have met new aspects of ourselves and reclaimed skills and abilities that have been dormant.
This cycle awakens our desires and urges us to go for what we really want from a place of strength, confidence, and empowerment.
“Having courage does not mean that we are unafraid. Having courage and showing courage mean we face our fears. We are able to say, ‘I have fallen, but I will get up.”
Maya Angelou

Aries as an Archetype
Aries represents intuitive knowing, sacred leadership, and instinctive action. This energy teaches us to trust our gut, gain understanding of ourselves, and live from our inner validation that is rooted in self-trust. This archetype is meant to initiate new directions and bravely pioneer new pathways for others to walk through. Through Aries, we learn to choose our battles wisely and know how and when to healthily assert ourselves. Through this sign we learn to challenge our growth edges to learn what we are capable of and to unlock our potential as we venture out to follow the call of adventure.
This full moon helps us gain more wisdom about what is changing, what we can no longer accept into our life, and which of our old identities have been shed.
We can also achieve a better grasp of what we have been suppressing, allowing us to connect more easily to our true expression in the world.
“The soul cannot go to the adventure of the future holding onto the emotions of the past.”
Joe Dispenza
The Aries/Libra Polarity
Aries represents our need for freedom to explore and express ourselves as individuals, as well as to use inner guidance to inform our efforts; Libra represents our wish to connect, advocate for equality, learn more about ourselves through relationships, look at both sides of the story, and make choices. Aries takes inspired action and advocates for the needs of others. Libra energy considers others’ perspectives and works toward solutions.
Working with the archetypal energies of this relationship axis supports us in understanding our connections, both those where we feel seen and those where the dynamics are not quite meeting our demands. We can view how we have changed and how this affects our current relationships. We are asked to assert ourselves; not only to advocate for our needs, but to also listen closely so that we might more clearly fathom where others are coming from and how our actions might impact them.
By letting go of past patterns and our old selves, we can honor who we are now. As we shift and start the new chapters in our lives, our ability to lead from our authenticity naturally aligns with the frequencies of the people, places, and opportunities that are meant for us.
This lunation offers a heightened awareness of where we have been holding ourselves back by not wanting to rock the boat or make others angry, and we may feel that we have compromised too much of ourselves and our truth in the process. However, we also feel clearer on what truly matters. We are prompted to tune into what others require and assert ourselves and advocate for what is most sacred for us. Where we have been out of balance with our own needs is illuminated so that we can find healthy and honest ways to put ourselves first and pursue what we desire.
We Challenge Outdated Belief Systems
This cycle unlocks a powerful alchemy in recognizing where we have been upholding ancestral truths that have been defining our existence. We are asked to face any illusions and cultural conditioning that have created distortions in how we identify what is real. This cosmic weather guides us into the raw and sensitive places of our psychic DNA and inherited patterns so that we can clearly see which beliefs have been prevalent in our lives. This is an important time to identify the illusions and to grow beyond our comfort zone. In order to do this, we must be willing to see where we have been containing and crystalizing the beliefs we have taken on that were never really ours. Buried emotions arise so that we can process what we have been holding and clarify what must change. We feel the tension between our need for control and our longing for new possibilities. This tension serves as a catalyst to liberate us from that which binds us.
“You can choose courage, or you can choose comfort, but you cannot choose both.”
Brene Brown
We have been through a metamorphosis and now know what is no longer healthy for us and what has naturally run its course. We may be impatient to move forward, but it is important to feel into what is arising so that we can move through it consciously. Deeper levels of self-awareness are activated at this time, enabling us to work toward self-love and self-acceptance. This is a profound shift in healing our bloodline.
We are now closing out something that has been very difficult and painful. We are asked to step back from our personal experience and look at our lives through the bigger picture and perspective of our soul. The more that we are willing to confront our attachments to outdated beliefs and old forms, the more strength and momentum we will have toward our rebirth.
The more that we are willing to confront our attachments to outdated beliefs and old forms, the more strength and momentum we will have toward our rebirth.
“Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything – anger, anxiety, or possessions – we cannot be free.”
Thich Nhat Hanh, The Heart of the Buddha’s Teaching: Transforming Suffering into Peace, Joy, and Liberation

The Invitation
This lunation activates fire and drive, and clearly reveals the truth of how we feel. We reflect on where we must take a braver stance and take a risk towards what we want. We trust our instincts and connect to a felt sense of truth. We also have better idea of what may be possible for us if we live from our courageous heart and take bold steps toward the adventure that has been calling us forward.
Trust that what is truly meant for you cannot move past you. There are new levels of potential and possibilities emerging. We just need to be bold enough to step into the unknown and meet the new thresholds of ourselves.
“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.”
Joseph Campbell
