The full moon in 13°22’ of Taurus on Wednesday, November 5th (7:19 a.m. CST) invites us to develop our inner strength.
We are guided to slow down and be deliberate with our energy and focus.
This full moon is illuminating what we need to stabilize.
We are building stronger foundations.
We are learning to embody our values and live from a grounded sense of meaning.
This the second of three consecutive supermoons that will occur through the end of the calendar year. Our intuition and emotions are amplified. We can attune to what is deeply resonant and aligned with our values and create a strong base for sustainable growth.
“We don’t even know how strong we are until we are forced to bring that hidden strength forward.”
Isabel Allende
We reflect on what is relevant and significant, noticing what feels congruent with our beliefs, so that we can build a life that has authentic value. We are also noticing where we are holding onto familiar forms of security and can see how we can reclaim our power to not only create beauty in the world but also feel resourced.
This lunation corresponds to the new moon in Taurus on May 7th, 2024. The past 18 months have been teaching us about our relationship to self-worth. Reflecting back to that time, what was changing? What were our choices teaching us about what we truly value? And now, what has ended?
This full moon is inviting integration.
We practice discerning what is real, what is sustainable, what is truly valuable.
We open to new opportunities by staying grounded in the reality of the challenges we face.
We explore our relationship to change, where we resource from, and what we hold onto. We are in a deep inner process of evolving our relationship to security so that we can devote ourselves to what truly nourishes and fulfills us. We release old ways of acquiring what we need so that we can share more of our creative gifts with the world.
“If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.”
Henry David Thoreau
Mercury stations retrograde on November 9th directing us to take time to reflect, recharge, and root into our lived experience in order to guide us to what feels authentic and real. This transit may unearth uncomfortable truths so that we might ask deeper questions and enter into soulful introspection. We are invited to shed old layers of conditioning and broaden our horizons to discover new sources of knowledge and wisdom.
Mars and Mercury in Sagittarius oppose Uranus in Gemini in this full moon chart. This dynamic transit shakes up our foundations and brings surprising revelations and powerful truths that give us greater understanding of a situation and helps us move toward what inspires us.

The Taurus – Scorpio Polarity
Taurus represents our relationship with security, the material world, and our self-worth. It values quality over quantity, and has the capacity to appreciate the finer things in life—good food, good drink, good company. Taurus energy is pragmatic, earthy, self-reliant and steadfast. It appreciates the tangible, experiencing the world through its felt senses. The Taurus archetype encourages us to trust our own sense of timing and rhythm, to tune into what is vibrationally resonant for us, and to align with what is in harmony with our soul. When we are rooted in self-connection and connected to our values, we care less about what others are doing and can more easily follow our own personal honor code.
Scorpio represents our deepest psychological security, intimacy, transformational cycles, and ancestral patterns. This archetype is skilled at perceiving what isn’t being said and can discern other people’s underlying motivations. Scorpio energy plunges into the underworld of the human psyche where our darker, repressed emotions lie, in order to gain a deeper understanding of our psychological motives and patterns. When we suppress our emotions, they are pushed into the shadows and can influence us unconsciously. To feel our full range of emotions is intense and transformative. The Scorpio archetype teaches us how to develop our relationship to our emotional body through engaged presence, allowing our emotions to change us. Scorpio guides us through the process of metamorphosis where we learn to surrender to the progression of our own evolution.
“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them — that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
Lao Tzu
In working with this polarity, we explore our relationship with both change and stability. It is a delicate balance—to determine when we need to hold on, and when to fully let go.
This lunation invites us to shed what is stagnant. We are challenged to move outside our comfort zone and examine how we seek security out of fear, and to understand that this fear is what keeps us from our own growth. We clarify what we want and what we value. We have the opportunity to liberate ourselves from past patterns, navigating the unknown with a radical embodiment that allows us to find our center amongst the storm.
The Invitation
This cosmic weather is changing our structures so that we can shed any cultural values that have been governing our lives in order to rebuild a more solid foundation. What is being illuminated are the ways in which we have been too fixed and how we have been holding onto hold forms.
When we are willing to face the shadow aspects of ourselves, we can let go of the tight grip we have on the way we think things should be and allow for the natural process of change and evolution to unfold.
We are invited to integrate what we have been learning so that we can root into our inner sense of stability to hold us as we navigate through this time of uncertainty and all that is unknown.
“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.”
Albert Camus
