Leo Full Moon: Inspired Action

The full moon in 13°3’ of Leo on Sunday, February 1st (4:09 p.m. CST) animates inspired action towards what will help us to evolve and share our unique gifts with the world.

This lunation brings our conscious awareness to the major shifts and changes occurring both in your life and within the collective.

Now is an import time to reconnect to our life force and our hearts. 

For the past 18 months, we have been developing the courage and capacity to lead from our strength and authenticity. We are invited to shed any limited beliefs we have about ourselves, and to move beyond the expectations and projections of those who do not support our path. We are now being asked to embrace growth and risk the vulnerability of being seen more fully so that we can share our sacred work and shine our light in service to our community. 

This lunation arrives like a spotlight, illuminating the places in our lives where we’ve been playing small, dimming our light, or waiting for permission to be fully ourselves. We become more aware of the places we have been hiding, allowing us to move beyond our conditioning and tap into our creative expression—which is our most powerful tool to heal, connect, and inspire. We are called to strike out on our own and do something differently than we have before.

Neptune Enters Aries

With Neptune entering the sign of Aries on January 26th, we begin a new, 165-year cycle.

We reconnect to the power of active dreaming.

We are visualizing the world we wish to create and are called to actively take steps to move forward and tend to this vision.

The last time Neptune was in the sign of Aries (1861-1875), it was a period marked by rapid industrial growth, deep societal upheaval, and a war of ideals as the United States experienced civil war. This cycle shows tension of radically different ethics and asks us to tend to the vision of the world that we wish to live in and to show up fully in order to embody the change that we wish to see. That may mean having to think on our feet about how we can best support our community through times of change. We are seeing powerful models of this right now in Minneapolis as local businesses are offering themselves as hubs for community resources, free meals, and donations.

Neptune connecting with the zero point of Aries reminds us that we have the power to dream something that is beyond anything we have created in our lives so far. We can reach new heights of what is possible. And by pioneering new pathways, we can embrace bold risks and trust our inner validation to guide this next stage, even when we do not know the details or how it all will unfold.

To practice trust, we must actively engage in uncertainty and continue to move from our intuitive knowing.

Neptune guides us to transform our pain into power. What breaks our hearts open can fuel our sacred activism in the world. We are called to see beyond the distractions that are used to separate us, and instead, connect to how we are united as one humanity. This is an important time of dissolving old identities, reinventing ourselves, awakening to disillusionments, and following divine inspiration.

The Leo / Aquarius Polarity

Leo represents our heart, our creative play, and our soul expression. It is the place where we live connected to our imaginative impulses to naturally follow the rhythms of our own hearts. 

Aquarius is associated with innovation, individuality, and truth. This archetype brings reform and creative solutions that support the collective vision for humanity. 

In working with this axis, we are called to embrace who we are meant to be, to move beyond what others think, and to live in a way that is aligned with our authentic essence. However, we may feel tension between other people’s expectations of us and the call to follow our own path.

Our soul’s mission requires boldness. It asks us to challenge convention, to allow ourselves to be seen, and to share our gifts openly—knowing that our authenticity is exactly what the world needs.

The Invitation

This lunation reminds us that our creativity is sacred and that our joy truly matters. We have a powerful opportunity to move boldly into unknown territory. The time has come for creating new routes that offer us vitality and remind us of who we are: a divine spark of light having a human experience. What connects us to our shared humanity? How can our creative gifts be tools for connecting, healing, and inspiration?

There is much work to be done in building a world that honors the rights, voices, ideas, and gifts of all. What does this vision look like? Who are the people in our lives that share our vision? What unique abilities do we have that allow us to step more fully into our power? Where are we called to follow our hearts in a sacred rebellion that connects us more deeply into soul-led activism?

We were born to be unapologetically ourselves. This lunation shows us where we have been dimmed down so that we can more fully inhabit our self-expression. We are meant to continually evolve while cultivating the courage to claim our place on stage when we are divinely called to shine. We become more aware of where we have lost our creative agency so that we can break convention and follow our truth. This cycle activates a personal and collective attunement, connecting us to our vision. We are invited to fully show up with our creative gifts and our full hearts. Our communities and our future depend on it.
