New Moon in Pisces: Tides of Change

The new moon in 9°40’ of Pisces on February 27th (6:43 p.m. CST) invites us to be brave enough to truly let go.

This lunation also marks the beginning of eclipse season. This is a time of revelation and recalibration in which synchronicity illuminates what is no longer serving our growth.

There is a stellium in Pisces, amplifying the energy of this reflective, mystical sign.

We are called inward to connect with our intuitive nudges, and feel what needs to be forgiven, healed, and dissolved so that we can welcome new spaces and fresh beginnings.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them — that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

Lao Tzu

We have reached an important ending in some area of our lives. Pisces marks the end of the zodiac, representing not only a culmination point but also stepping into the void. We tune into the density of what is no longer resonate so that we can release it and embrace opportunities that support our soul’s intention.

This new moon is square with Jupiter in Gemini, bringing our attention to our mind, our ideas, what we are saying, and how we are speaking. It is vital to be flexible and adapt to changes in order to see the bigger purpose behind what we have been going through. The silver lining of any past challenges we may have faced is more visible now.

Jupiter in transit not only magnifies where we have settled and where we are not called to expand, but also points us toward practicing a deeper faith in ourselves and our capabilities.

Reclaiming Our Ability to Heal

This new moon guides us into new perspectives and shows us the deeper meaning of how we are showing up in our lives and how we are treating ourselves. Pisces energy is countercultural and flows with the cycles of life. It connects our emotional body with our cosmic heart.

This lunation reminds us of the importance that restorative moments have for our well-being. It is through the process of rest that we reconnect with what moves our heart and where we wish to bring our light into the world.

“Practice listening to your intuition, your inner voice; ask questions; be curious; see what you see; hear what you hear; and then act upon what you know to be true. These intuitive powers were given to your soul at birth.”

Clarissa Pinkola Estés

In a culture that values busyness and disconnection, Pisces calls us inward to live from our spiritual essence and remember who we truly are. Releasing societal expectations and diving deeper into source connection will help us navigate this cycle. And when we tune into divine inspiration, this needed reset will nourish us at the soul level.

Universal Love

Venus is in the set-up phase for its retrograde cycle, bringing us into an important time of reflection and realignment with our values.

This cosmic weather guides us past disappointments, grief, and expectations about love so that we can expand our sense of what love can be.

Love is not something that happens to us, nor is it limited to one person. Love is a verb—a way of being and seeing in the world. We are opening to higher levels of how we can experience and embody love. We dissolve the barriers of separation so we can come to know our connection with the unconditional love that is moving through us and guiding our path.

“For me, forgiveness and compassion are always linked: how do we hold people accountable for wrongdoing and yet at the same time remain in touch with their humanity enough to believe in their capacity to be transformed?”

The Invitation

This new moon awakens our cosmic consciousness and offers divine insights. These will support us in deepening our ability to live from our mystical heart. We exist at an important time of collective change and we are now being guided to let go of fear and to surrender to the unfolding journey. We dissolve our disillusionment to see things for what they are, so that we can submit to the transformations that are in process.

This lunation invites us to trust in our ability to navigate unknown cycles and to have faith as we step into the void. We recognize our potential to co-create with spirit, and to convert what is in our imagination into form. By becoming aware of where we have been caught in cynicism and victim consciousness, we can shift how we relate to ourselves and more easily recognize how we are being called to bring our heart into the world.

“Into the void of silence, into the empty space of nothing, the joy of life is unfurled.”

C.S. Lewis
