Capricorn Full Moon: Grounded Innovation

The full moon in 18°50′ of Capricorn on Thursday, July 10th (3:37 p.m. CDT) offers grounding through transformation and tangible changes.

We are creating stability and building a better foundation not only for our personal transformation but also that of the collective.

This lunation cycle asks for us to practice patience and trust that another chapter is unfolding. Real growth takes time. We must remember to tend to the seeds we have planted and honor the season of development that we are in. Some cycles require more internal focus and sending down deep roots. Other cycles ask us to break through new ground into vertical progress and meet new thresholds of ourselves, while others lift us up to blossom in our most expressive creative potential. There is wisdom in accepting the reality of where we currently are and discerning what we truly need. If we rush things, we can get in the way of our own progress.

Sometimes what seems like a setback or delay is a slow process of the right next thing beginning to line up. Thinking about the long-term vision of our lives, what are we being asked to change? What are we creating in this vision? Are we in the right place? Who are the people we trust to support this vision? Are we partnered with those who will help us on this path?

Patience is necessary, and one cannot reap immediately where one has sown.

Sören Kierkegaard

This full moon brings to fruition the seeds that we planted on January 11th, 2024. For the last 18 months, we have been in a process of soul renovation, repairing old structures within us and healing ancestral karma.

What isn’t aligned with the next chapter of our soul’s growth has been swept away. Whatever was consciously or unconsciously set in motion during this time has allowed us to rebuild something more genuine and connected to our purpose. There were contracts that needed to be completed so that we can now honor the importance of nurturing ourselves and truly understand what nourishment we need on all levels: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

Uranus Enters Gemini

Three days before the full moon was exact, Uranus entered Gemini. This will ignite breakthroughs and innovation over the course of an eight-year transit in which we will question old narratives, embrace radical ideas, honor our voices, and practice cognitive flexibility.

Uranus doesn’t just upgrade, it shakes old foundations in order to reinvent the course we are on.

The way the world thinks of itself will begin to fracture and shift.

This transit invites us to face where we have collectively mistaken the algorithm for soul. We are learning how reality has been narrated, and how our perception of duality has kept us limited.

Our current realities may feel mistranslated, leaving us no longer fitting into old forms.

Distractions are rampant.

Energy, ideas, and innovation seem to speed up.

True wisdom is demonstrated through our ability to see both sides, develop our communication strategies, think independently, and adapt to changes.

Synchronicity speaks through conversations.

We are wired for connection. We build bonds that resonate on a soul level.

This period is a revolution not only of the mind, but also of technology and learning.

Curiosity guides us in different directions that support how we express ourselves, relate to others, and process the world around us.

Information that is arriving has not yet been written and is channeled from the soul.

In the past three months, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter and Uranus have all entered signs. The outer planets are aligned in a rare configuration to support remarkable progress and transformation. Change is inevitable, but the Capricorn full moon supports us in grounding the collective activations.

“Very soon you will find yourself at the end of a dirt road, only inches from a threshold . . . a threshold into another world—a glorious world, one of infinite possibility. You’ll be standing there contemplating your next move when a gust of wind whispers, ‘Have faith.’ When you hear those magic words, it’ll be time for you to cross the threshold and begin your journey . . .”

The Cancer – Capricorn Polarity

Cancer symbolizes healing, nourishment, and developing our roots. Through the lens of this archetype we examine how we relate to safety and security in our families, our ancestry, and our foundations—both tangible and intangible. Cancer teaches us the power of softness. As we learn to flow with our feelings, we also see how we can protect our vulnerable parts and attune to what we need. This sign has intuitive instincts, is adept at understanding the needs of others, and holds the ability to nurture whatever they dedicate themselves to. Through Cancer, we discover what home feels like and develop self-connection and peace through learning to stay anchored within.

“Treating each other and ourselves with care isn’t a luxury, but an absolute necessity if we’re going to thrive.”

Tricia Hersey, Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto

Capricorn is associated with our goals, ambitions, and drive. This archetype teaches us how to build a big vision over time and to find meaning and stability through our work and our roles in society. Capricorn reminds us of our responsibilities, our inner strength, and how to put forth effort toward long-term growth. Through this sign, we are able to recognize what is vital, realistic, and sustainable. Capricorn energy is in its highest expression when they are anchored from their inner authority, guided from their integrity, and live in a way that is true to themselves.

This full moon brings eye-opening realizations of what isn’t working and what matters most so that we can align our goals with our deepest soul prayer, trusting in our ability to take courageous action and navigate whatever challenges life presents.

In order to grow, we are asked to develop our emotional intelligence and to be accountable for what we have created and to rise up and be stewards of our lives in a way that is grounded, connected, and intentional.

“Wherever you are, be there totally. If you find your here and now intolerable and it makes you unhappy, you have three options: remove yourself from the situation, change it, or accept it totally. If you want to take responsibility for your life, you must choose one of those three options, and you must choose now. Then accept the consequences.”

Eckhart Tolle

Grounded Responsibility

This cycle invites us to reflect on what others expect and need from us and what we can realistically give. If we are overextended, overwhelmed, and burnt out we need to take time to pause, reflect, and recharge. We are asked to let go of what doesn’t support our soul’s growth. We are able to reach clarity and make decisions based on what brings us liberation, peace, and ease as a result of releasing what isn’t genuinely valuable and recognizing what is. Creative solutions arise around how to alleviate where there has been too much stress so that we can implement new self-care strategies and bring more balance between our responsibilities and our own needs. We may be required to find a middle ground where our life feels more honest, fulfilling, and sustainable.

Responsibility is a part of the long process of learning from the choices that we make and being intentional in how we wish to engage in life. Kindness is a choice. Cruelty is a choice. We may find ourselves leaning more into impatience, frustration, and irritation when we are not feeling centered and cared for in our lives. There is strength in understanding the lessons and the practical reality of our current situations. We learn what truly matters, what doesn’t feel aligned, and what we can realistically accomplish in one day. This lunation invites us to get real with how we are showing up in our lives and what this is saying about what and who we value. We put wisdom into practice by cultivating discipline to show up day-to-day with integrity, commitment, and grit, and bring these elements together to create a well-balanced and satisfying life.

“Transformation is an ongoing process that tends to appear ordinary, when, in fact, something extraordinary is taking place.”

The Invitation

This lunation marks a key turning point that activates our inner strength and commitment to take responsibility for and courageous action toward our evolution. Where in our lives are we asked to step back and see things from a more objective point of view? Where have we abandoned ourselves to care for others? Where are we being asked to step up, show up, or grow up to reclaim our personal power and build something that is truly meaningful in our lives? Our power comes in understanding what we are responsible for and what isn’t ours to take on. This is an important time to make changes that are necessary to move forward toward our own personal expansion and rebirth.

We are being invited to make space for nourishment, self-awareness, and integration as we commit to our growth to become the best version of ourselves.
