The full moon in 13° of Gemini on Thursday, December 4th (5:14 p.m. CST) illuminates the root patterns in our conversations and our thinking so that we can filter out the outside noise and deepen into our intuitive knowing.
This is the final full moon of the calendar year.
This cycle prompts us toward bold moves that may initially bring some friction and tension. We are willing to directly face what needs to be addressed so that we can bring a conscious ending to this chapter. We connect to the task at hand and the choices that need to be made. This lunation is preparing us for big decisions and new adventures.
We are tending to the threshold of a new beginning in some area of our lives. We can move beyond old, conditioned beliefs and advance to new horizons without being bound to old forms and roles of the past. We are invited to embrace intentionality in our decisions and to trust our intuitive guidance as it directs us toward our next steps.
“When you reach the end of what you should know, you will be at the beginning of what you should sense.”
Kahlil Gibrán, Sand and Foam
Mercury, the ruler of this full moon, is now moving forward and going over the degree points where it was in retrograde. This signifies a time of progression and integrating what we have learned. With Mercury in the sign of Scorpio, we are working to incorporate all this information so that we can achieve self-empowerment. This is an important time to clarify and clean up anything that needs to be attended to in our lives and to be willing to work with others for the highest good for everyone in any situation.
Saturn is also now direct in Pisces and aligning with Uranus in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces. We may confront circumstances that require us to be self-determined, discerning, and willing to confront any challenges that present themselves. By doing so, we can begin to build the life that we want. We also deepen our commitment to self-trust at this time, learning from the choices we made in the past and being mindful not fall back into outdated habits. Saturn is completing a two-and-a-half-year journey through the sign of Pisces. We meet every area where we have felt disempowered or lacked a sense of authority in our own actions so we can live guided by our integrity and utilize more of our strength.
This cycle brings opportunity, especially in terms of learning, writing, negotiating a financial agreement, or preparing for new roles, but how it will all come together may still be somewhat unknown.
This lunation corresponds to the new moon in Gemini on June 6th, 2024. The past 18 months have been teaching us about our relationship to our felt sense of truth. Reflecting back to that time, what new seeds were being planted? What new learning or new connections were beginning?

The Gemini/Sagittarius Polarity
Gemini excels at building a framework by absorbing new information from their environment, synthesizing it, and offering valuable context. By establishing a series of logical premises grounded in rational facts, it empowers us to learn effectively. Gemini leads with curiosity, looks at things from different angles, recognizes patterns, and finds security in knowing what things mean.
Gemini is associated with languages, communication, and knowing the difference between opinion and fact. This sign can move quickly to connect the dots between information and ideas but can often leave out important details. Through Gemini, we learn to find harmony in our contrasts and to make space for our entire being. We also learn the value of moving beyond either/or in order to welcome the wide spectrum of ourselves and others.
On the other hand, Sagittarius invites us to transcend the surface level of facts and statistics, urging us to delve into the higher meaning of the information we encounter. This influence encourages us to explore our higher purpose and ponder the greater questions that shape our existence, such as why we are here and what role we play in the grand tapestry of life.
Moreover, Sagittarius instills a sense of hope and optimism, serving as a guiding light that aids us in learning from our life experiences. This energy embraces the mysteries of the unknown, igniting our spirit of adventure, and fulfilling the deep longings of our souls. It encourages us to embark on journeys that broaden our horizons and enhance our understanding of ourselves and the universe.
These signs encourage us to accept new ideas, perspectives, and changing environments. When they work in harmony, Sagittarius inspires us to venture beyond our perceived limits, following the call for new explorations and personal growth. Meanwhile, Gemini offers vital insights into how everything will align and what the outcome may look like.
In exploring the Gemini/Sagittarius polarity, we are encouraged to develop our intelligence, cultivate open-mindedness, and seek a broader perspective on our life experiences. To achieve this, we need to look beyond the narratives we create and engage with larger truths. By ignoring external opinions, cultural belief systems, and our own expectations and judgments about ourselves, we can access our innate wisdom and embody our knowing.
This is an important time of integrating what we are learning, honoring our past, and realizing all the knowledge we have gained.
We Practice Discernment
This cycle encourages us to explore what we need to confront within ourselves and to acknowledge what we may have been denying. This can only be accomplished when we learn to tune out others’ ideas, opinions, and narratives, focusing instead on our own embodied truth. We are called to deeply listen to and connect with our intuitive knowing.
Often, other people’s opinions about us have nothing to do with our own understanding of who we are and how we present ourselves to the world. We may encounter situations where we feel rejected or shamed for expressing our authenticity. In some cases, we may not have been allowed to acknowledge our emotions or needs within our family system, and any sincere expression of how we feel may have been dismissed. When we experience that who we are is not welcome or wanted, we can begin to internalize that we are not accepted and that we do not deserve to be treated well.
It is important to remember that other people’s judgments or rejections often reveal more about them than about us. If someone clings to a particular idea or outdated narrative that is based on assumptions or hastily drawn conclusions, it may not be worthwhile to invest our time and energy trying to change their minds. Instead, a more effective use of our efforts is to protect our peace and avoid engagement with them.
This cycle can create tension due to differing opinions and strong beliefs. However, it also allows for the difficult conversations that we’ve been avoiding, enabling us to address unfinished matters in a clear and direct manner and move forward.
“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.”
e.e. cummings
Truth is something that can be felt. What narratives might we be holding onto as a way to shield ourselves from uncomfortable truths? Where have we jumped to conclusions or made false assumptions that blurred the lines between fact and fiction? We must practice discernment and distinguish between what is true and what is not, allowing others to remain where they are while staying anchored in our own inner knowing. There is wisdom in knowing when to speak up, when to take responsibility for our actions, and when it is best to agree to disagree without letting others’ opinions trigger a reaction in us.

Radical Acceptance
This lunation guides us to transform our relationship to truth by allowing us to tap into our emotional body and allow our emotions to teach and inform us. We are able to look at our lives more clearly, seeing the reality of a situation that allows us to come into deeper acceptance. Healing happens when we honor what we have been through and can accept things as they are without wanting to change the outcome or other people’s behaviors. The last two and half years have presented us with several lessons around disillusionment and awakening to new facts. There can be power in holding onto hope—especially when facing challenges—but there can also be times when holding onto hope steers us into wishful thinking and we can begin to avoid reality. Saturn in Pisces has been a powerful teacher, guiding us to face uncomfortable truths. It has also revealed where we may lose ourselves and become disillusioned when we romanticize someone’s potential instead of recognizing that their present behavior does not align with us. We also become more aware of the places where we did not follow our intuition or pay attention to red flags, and we can deepen our ability to trust ourselves. Now is the moment when we can liberate ourselves from emotional attachments to the past and be open to forgiveness.
“My prayer is that everyone comes alive to the parts of themselves that have been dismissed, demeaned, and forgotten…We would find stories that astonish us.”
Marcie Alvis-Walker
The sense of being in between worlds or chapters is essential for our learning. We are preparing and building our capacity for sharing more of our soul gifts. When we release the need to fix things or control what happens we can feel into the mystery that is unfolding. We are supported in adapting and flowing with changes more easily during this time and we can tune into the energy of what feels complete.
This is an important time of incorporating what we are learning, honoring our past, and realizing all the knowledge we have gained.
The Invitation
This lunation helps us clarify our priorities. We start by identifying the aspects of our lives that have been consuming our attention and energy but may no longer play a role in the next year or two. This realization prompts us to reassess our priorities and focus on what truly matters. We gain a deeper insight into our tasks and the choices we need to make to prepare for new beginnings. Over the past several weeks, we’ve engaged in inner reflection and have been moving toward new learning and opportunities. It’s time to let go of the areas where we’ve acted out of obligation and to look beyond the horizon at what is possible. We make considered choices and develop thoughtful strategies that align with our values and unique gifts, providing us with deeper meaning and new ways of experiencing the world.
