Full Moon in Sagittarius: Reclaiming Our Truth

On Saturday, June 3rd at 10:42 p.m. CDT, the full moon in 13°18’ Sagittarius conjuncts the Great Attractor. This alignment offers divine downloads and an expanded field of awareness. We get a sense of what is to come and embark on a new call to adventure. We see more of what we are capable of and commit to our role in making a positive impact on the world and honoring our greater divinity.

This full moon offers clarity and confidence. We shed false beliefs about ourselves so that we can reclaim more of our own light. We are urged to further integrate and assimilate all that we have been processing over the past several months so that we can expand into the next stages of our potential and live fully within our spiritual nature.

This particular full moon relates to the new moon in Sagittarius that occurred on December, 4th 2021. Thinking back to that time, what new journey was beginning in our lives? Where were we called to grow and believe more in our own abilities? This lunation offers deeper understanding of the spiritual lessons that occurred then and how those lessons have guided and prepared us to share more of our light. We are now invited to expand these lessons, trusting in our divine intelligence that informs and directs our life experience.

We Awaken to New Truths

We practice compassionate honesty, getting real about where we have settled and how we are holding ourselves back. We face the places where we have gotten in our own way, so that we can deepen our understanding of our soul’s intention and open to a higher field of grace. This requires us to make space for the parts of ourselves we may perceive as unlovable so we can be guided to new spiritual work and to live our embodied truth. This will allow us to share our light and our authentic gifts with the world.

We long for connection with kindred spirits who are true to themselves. Our vulnerability becomes our greatest teacher, and we are able to integrate the wisdom we are accessing. We see what is possible. We strip down to our true nature, remembering our essence as pure consciousness. We are liberated from old ways of being, so that we can explore new horizons and share more of the gifts that we have been given.

This lunation marks a pivotal moment that cuts through illusion and illuminates where our energy has been stagnant. What is required is radical self-honesty and the courage to self-examine. The more we can make space to witness and integrate our own shadow, the greater the capacity we hold to receive the light.

We Open to a State of Pure Potentiality

This full moon guides us beyond the threshold of what is known into a new spiritual exploration. We shed all that no longer supports our spirit and we become open to a state of pure consciousness, expanding our vision for our life. We are now able to sense what is possible.

We’ve spent the previous few months sweeping away patterns and ways of being that no longer serve our life’s purpose. We’ve been clearing and preparing the ground for fresh and expanded growth. This lunation calls in the light and allows grace to fill the space we’ve created. From this sacred vessel, we tap into our own wisdom and become more available to receive divine abundance.

This full moon activates a frequency of pure potentiality to shape big dreams. Divine Intelligence enters through our sincere openness and we begin to see the impossible in the possible. We become clear on our authentic desires and direct our attention towards them, awakening to more of what we are capable of and where we are asked to aim higher.

“If you aim higher than you expect, you could reach higher than you dreamed.”

Sagittarius as an Archetype

Sagittarius is the archetype of divine inspiration, exploration, and intuitive knowledge. In Sagittarius, we connect to our need to understand our place in the cosmos and start a lifelong process of seeking truth within our own beliefs and finding higher meaning within the world.

We learn through our direct life experience and are intuitively guided to orient towards greater insight.

Sagittarius brings with it an inherent sense of optimism, faith, and hope, and it enables us to see the wider picture of what is possible. It offers its vision and inspires the expansion of consciousness through the Teacher, Storyteller, and Guide.

The shadow of Sagittarius is reckless optimism and an overconfidence that bites off more than we can chew. We leap forward into possibility but don’t know where we will land. We have spiritual awakenings and big expansions but haven’t established a framework to know what to do with our awareness and newly found insights.

Another shadow aspect of Sagittarius is becoming attached to our beliefs and thinking we have it all figured out. Our own unconscious insecurity fuels a philosophy of fundamentalism that needs to convince others of our version of reality and that our beliefs are right. Sagittarius, the seeker, wants to discover the truth and then attach and grip onto it, forgetting to make space for growth and evolution. But truth evolves as consciousness evolves and there is always more to learn and to see. Through our own life experience, we learn to question our beliefs, self-orient and let life teach us. We are able to see beyond our past philosophies that may keep us from growing and expanding into unexplored territory.

In the highest expression of Sagittarius, we don’t need to convince anyone of our veracity, we simply live a life, aligned with our authentic nature. We embrace the unknown. We create a space for the freedom to follow our intuitive voice and permit the revelation of truth to arise from our direct experience. We are called to growth and believe in ourselves and the divine intelligence guiding our path.

“If you do not tell the truth about yourself you cannot tell it about other people.”

Virginia Woolf

Sagittarius – Gemini Polarity

Sagittarius guides us to look beyond facts and into the deeper meanings of the information presented to us, and to discover a higher purpose and significance for our lives. We explore beyond our current reality, which continually opens us up to new certainties and new paths.

Gemini supports us in learning from our immediate surroundings and understanding the connectedness between all things. We learn to craft and adapt our language to support the message we wish to convey and explore our own inner dialogue with ourselves. In Gemini, we seek to process and share as much information as quickly as we can.

Working with this polarity, it is vital to pause and reflect on the information we have gathered in support of our growth. We must continue to be teachable and to be able to learn by asking powerful questions that continue to challenge our assumptions about what we think we know. By creating space and gathering data, we can allow life to naturally flow towards our next spiritual lesson.

When we make room for other points of view, we can more fully understand that to live in truth means to embrace diversity. There are as many paths to God as there are people on this planet. Our work as guides is to inspire through the example of living fully in our authentic nature. It is also our task to connect seekers to the truth that lies within while trusting in divine intelligence. The unfolding of our journey requires holding reverence for the unique spiritual growth each soul is here to experience.

We Release Shadow Loyalties

This full moon is opposite Juno in Gemini. Juno prompts us to notice where we tend give away our power. We realize we have engaged in power dynamics and remained loyal to others, believing more in their position and authority, instead of focusing on our own ability to create and govern our journey.  Juno reveals where our loyalty is centered and directs us to remain faithful to ourselves.

In the sign of Gemini, we are asked to communicate from a place of sincerity and use our words with care and intention. We may have the concept of commitment on our mind now and may find that we need to discuss our relationship needs. What should be addressed before entering a new agreement? Are we being clear and honest about how we are feeling? Juno will square Neptune in Pisces which may bring some confusion to the terms of those agreements, and it is important to see the reality of our relationships and situations for what they are. This lunation breaks illusion, supporting us to look with clear eyes.

Along with this special alignment with Juno, the sun and the moon also support us in releasing our own shadow loyalties and guilt around putting ourselves first. We can state more clearly where we are in our knowing, and trust the unfolding of our own soul contract and our ability to create what we need. Through experiencing how we give our power away, we can learn to make choices that help us to value ourselves and reclaim more of our sovereignty.

We Open to Heal and Transform

There is a Grand Cross and Grand Trine aspecting the full moon. We explore our patterns through polarization and contrast, bringing us to edges of tension in order to help us discern how we unconsciously place barriers in front of ourselves. Relationships become powerful mirrors that help us see where there is stagnancy. Disagreement can serve as an opportunity to question and reflect on our beliefs and feel into our own truth in the moment. As we become more skilled at identifying and addressing what is elusive, we can process much faster and get back to the work of radiating our light in the world. By anchoring into self-trust, we are able to learn to self-orient.

This lunation is a powerful catalyst that offers insight and new intuitive perception, redirecting us to more authentic expression. We see things we haven’t seen before and connect to deeper meaning. We are challenged to integrate intuitive wisdom and allow it to guide us. Others enter onto our path to serve as necessary teachers and wake us up to old patterns and adaptive strategies that no longer serve our journey.

“This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. Being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it what I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”

Cosmic Weather

The full moon trines Mars in Leo and Chiron in Aries igniting a Grand Trine in the fire element. This positioning fuels our passion and directs our energy to act and create needed change. We connect to our hearts and trust our intuitive knowing. We have the capacity to navigate our journey courageously, both in terms of how we seek to express ourselves and also how we choose to meet opportunities for healing along the way. We are encouraged to make space for our humanness and the complexities of others. Compassion and self-acceptance are the keys to sustainable change.

“Wholeheartedness. There are many tenets of wholeheartedness, but at its very core is vulnerability and worthiness; facing uncertainty, exposure, and emotional risks, and knowing that I am enough.”

Brené Brown

At the peak of this full moon, Jupiter, the planet of optimism and the ruler of Sagittarius, is conjunct the North Node in Taurus. This potent combination guides us towards an experience that catalyzes the next steps of our spiritual growth. We long for big expansion and are ready to act on opportunity. We may also tend to be a bit impulsive with this energy and will want to seize the moment for fear of missing out. It’s important to live in the moment and follow our intuitive feeling as we go, releasing our ego’s desire to force a certain outcome.

Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is conjunct Uranus, the great Awakener in the sign of Taurus in this full moon chart. This arrangement brings unexpected events and offers the potential to achieve powerful breakthroughs in the form of innovation, ideas and divine insights.

The full moon squares Saturn in Pisces, rousing our compassionate heart and dissolving separation. What’s required is a practice of discernment and grounding in our spiritual work so that we can build a supportive framework. We are called to commit to this spiritual work and also to face how we escape our reality when we feel overwhelmed. On June 6th, Saturn will slow down and prepare for its retrograde phase on June 17th and these themes will seem more pronounced.

The full moon is trine Pallas Athena in Leo enabling us to utilize our creative intelligence. We recognize our relationship patterns and create a strategy towards what we wish to change.

This lunation aligns with Venus in the sign of Cancer who is opposite Pluto in Aquarius and trine Neptune in Pisces, activating our understanding of relationships. We come to greater clarity surrounding the tendencies we have in our relationships and are asked to bring more awareness to how we use power within them. We see how our responses can often be informed from our prior painful experiences rather than the present moment, and are able take greater responsibility for our behaviors. We are adept at considering the ideas and needs of others and respond with more compassion. We are reminded to observe the interconnection of everything and everyone. Powerful alchemy is available to us, but what is required is radical self-honesty and the courage to self-examine.

The Invitation

We embark on a new journey that is rooted in our spiritual integrity. This lunation guides us to live honesty and authentically within our spiritual essence. We sense where we are being asked to evolve and burst forward onto new horizons. Dynamic conversations and synchronistic moments shake our old paradigms so that we are able to trust our intuitive knowing and access more of our own multidimensionality.

We explore our relationship to polarity, so that we can break free from any limited beliefs we might possess. Turbulence breaks open what has been stagnant, allowing us to receive important insights that inform our role in this collective awakening and rebirth. We are urged to have more confidence and faith in our abilities to inspire and impact the world.

This cycle ushers in hope and optimism of what could be. It is from this place that we can receive the blessings that the divine has to offer and follow our intuitive knowing of where we need to stretch and grow. This Cosmic Weather is stirring our passions and guiding us beyond the self we have previously known, so that we can explore more of our soul’s intention, live more freely from our heart and bring our light into the world.

“It is the task of every human that is awakening right now to establish a reverent relationship with themselves, to cut through all the self-negating, false beliefs once and for all. To throw all the pity seeking, illusory wounding out the window. To cease giving themselves away to fit in and to be accepted and to instead devote themselves to discovering the potent power that they hold. It is their time to take that journey within, to take time to listen to their body, to listen to their intuition and their heart and to live from that place. To bring forth what is inside out into the world. When a person is connected to their true nature, for the most part they feel whole and complete, alive, peaceful, joyous, grateful, inspired, creative, actively dynamic, all embracing, expansive, beautiful, wise, truthful and sensual. These are all signs that they are in alignment with their feminine and integrated with their masculine. Such a person has the power to transform the world.”
