The full moon at 23°20 of Libra on April 12th (7:22 p.m. CDT) brings a moment of reckoning and self-revelation.
We are asked to make serious choices that align with our self-value.
We are also guided to step outside our own perspective and endeavor to understand others’ point of view.
Our relationships serve as our teachers, and our choices reflect our own sense of worth. Which karmic contracts have reached an ending? What needs to be brought into balance? What resolutions can we work through together?
There is tension between structure and shapelessness, freedom and fate. It is time bring what is unfinished to a conclusion, and also time to honor what remains unresolved. What words need to be spoken? What matters most in our hearts? What lessons guide us forward?
This full moon concludes eclipse season and supports us in integrating all that has been shifted and illuminated for us.
“True harmony occurs when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in sync.”
Mahatma Gandhi
Mercury and Venus station direct this week, prompting us to move forward from a new place within ourselves. We can view our lives from a new value system and a fresh perspective.
This is the first full moon since Neptune entered the sign of Aries, signaling that a new energetic cycle is unfolding. Going forward, the mystic must become the warrior.
Mars in Cancer forms a sharp square with the full moon and is in tension with Chiron, activating friction, emotional reactivity, and a false sense of urgency. Responding from bitterness and resentment keeps us from our own healing opportunity. It’s important to remember that our unmet needs are revealed through what is triggering. Instead of engaging in conflict, we can practice spiritual detachment and focus on what matters most to us and what we will fight to protect.
“Most things will be okay eventually, but not everything will be. Sometimes you’ll put up a good fight and lose. Sometimes you’ll hold on really hard and realize there is no choice but to let go. Acceptance is a small, quiet room.”
Cheryl Strayed, Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar

The Libra-Aries Polarity
Libra teaches us about diplomacy, fairness, and the importance of trusting our instincts regarding others. On the other hand, Aries seeks freedom, independence, and courage to pioneer new paths.
This polarity reminds us to cultivate the space to listen deeply. It is vital to consider the needs of others while also honoring our own needs.
In Libra, we are discovering the importance of balance, being true to ourselves, and articulating our needs even when they go against the expectations of others. In Aries, we understand how to live from internal validation, become self-directed, brave, and follow our instincts.
We must learn to make choices that honor and value ourselves. We must also strike a balance between following our truth and deeply considering how our actions impact those around us.
We connect now with an inner compass that steers us in the direction of harmony, justice, and equilibrium.
“I have learned that if I want to rise, I have to sink first. I have to search for and depend upon the voice of inner wisdom instead of voices of outer approval.”
Glennon Doyle

Venus Stations Direct
Since March 1st, Venus has been in deep retrospection in regard to our values, longings, unconscious desires, and imagined fears. Venus stations direct on the same day as this full moon, guiding us to turn a corner. This brings an opportunity for healing and reconnection.
Venus is also in alignment with Saturn, offering important clarity around our relationship needs. We understand what we can give in our relationships and also what we can’t. It is through this clarity and our willingness to say what we need that we can make important choices aligned with our self-value. This discernment guides us forward from a place of honoring ourselves.
“We cannot be happy if we expect to live all the time at the highest peak of intensity. Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony.”
Thomas Merton, No Man is an Island
It is time to move ahead and attend to what needs cosmic closure. Our self-worth is being rerouted to follow new forms and better ways of relating. We may discover the kind of structures we long to build with another, or we may work to bring resolution to what needs ending. We can be kind and clear in conveying our truth. From an emerging vantage point, we are willing to develop the skills that will allow us to mature an important part of ourselves or our relationships.

Shedding the People Pleaser
This lunation guides us to dismantle the illusion we may have of being a peacekeeper—but we are not here to keep the peace if it goes against our own self-regard. Our wounded parts have been hiding in politeness. When we accept that we may never please certain people or certain systems, we can be liberated. This is an important moment to stay true to ourselves and reflect on our motivations behind what we are doing. We may notice patterns of how we have learned to navigate our survival by fawning or avoiding conflict. Whose approval or validation are we seeking? Where are we invited to embrace our courage? Where are we being insincere? We are asked to exchange being nice for getting real, even if it shakes up the foundation we are standing on.
“We know we can change ourselves when we realize that we are not dependent on how we feel, nor on how others feel about us, nor on what the situation is around us. The values we hold, the choices we make within ourselves and for ourselves remain our prerogative. In most situations, if we begin to change, to do our own inner work, to accept our own darkness and work toward consciousness, the situation will change. We will begin to emanate a different energy, one that exudes a sense of autonomy and authenticity.”
Marion Woodman, Dancing in the Flames: The Dark Goddess in the Transformation of Consciousness
We are also invited to consider the stories we tell ourselves and to surrender any shame and judgement. We now have the opportunity to weave different narratives that release old patterns and ways of being, but which also transcend and include the lessons we’ve already learned.
Our soul doesn’t look to life as fair or unfair—it incarnates to have experiences that awaken us to who we are.
Are we telling our story from our most wounded parts? Or are we ready to explore new stories and embody a higher version of love in our lives?
The Invitation
This cosmic weather stirs up old relationship dynamics, karmic entanglements, and emotional reactivity. These relationship dynamics are teaching us about what we are holding onto. We may feel impatient, agitated, or tender. If we can cultivate the observer within us and why we may be reactive, we can begin to develop a greater capacity to regulate our nervous system and better understand our unmet needs.
We are creating an offering for a new energetic cycle. Much has been learned, integrated, and shed. We are ready to begin a new chapter and foster greater levels of intimacy and soul esteem. We call in divine justice and advocate for not only our needs but also those who need our support.
