New Moon in Taurus: Reverence & Renewal

The new moon in 7°46’ of Taurus on April 27th (2:29 p.m. CDT) is a recalibration. We enter a new cycle of awareness that offers clarity and intentionality about what we really wish to sustain.

Taurus is a sign that signifies security, pleasure, and self-worth. This archetype learns through exploring their relationship with the physical realm. Taurus teaches us to engage in the world around us through our senses and to experience a deeper sense of fulfillment in the present moment.

We are encouraged to follow our own rhythms and connect to the eros in our lives. It is only through being present that we can be open to receiving creative inspiration and insight. Healing happens most powerfully when we there is space for energy to flow.

We attune to our value and create the spaciousness for more abundance, joy, and radiant love.

This cycle offers an auspicious beginning, one that awakens us to different ways of nourishing our heart and body. We call in what aligns with our frequency and tend to what we long to nurture and cultivate. The seeds that we plant now will support us over the next 18 months. Some seeds may bloom rapidly, but some may grow more slowly, coming to fruition near October 26th, 2026.

The Final Mars and Pluto Opposition

Mars and Pluto reach their final point of opposition in a six-month journey. This tension sparks an evolutionary push into our greater soul agency, confidence, and sacred leadership. A transformation has happened within us—and through confrontation and reflection our passion has been reignited.

We witness our growth and progress over this time and accept all we have endured so that we can integrate the lessons and take our best self forward.

We feel greater levels of freedom to make the choices that we believe are necessary to be true to our soul direction.

“A highly developed values system is like a compass. It serves as a guide to point you in the right direction when you are lost.”

Idowu Koyenikan

This opposition dredges things up to the surface so that we can face our fears and reclaim our power. Our conscious awareness is directed to notice patterns where we feel irritation, reactivity, and annoyance. What is this energy teaching us about ourselves? What insight lies in the undercurrents of uncomfortable feeling? Where are we still holding onto old ideas of what it means to have power in a situation? If we can practice being with our feelings and sitting with the discomfort, we can come to new understanding of healthier ways to assert ourselves, advocate for our needs, and express our anger.

This aspect can also activate power struggles and a clash of wills. However, it also creates an opportunity for self-regulation. We can dig deep into our hidden motivations and emotions to reframe our perspective. As we develop our observation skills, we can create space in between the action and reaction and feel into what we need before moving on impulse. In these quiet moments, we recognize our unwavering strength. No matter what happens outside of us, we hold an inner constancy that never changes. This process helps us to learn about ourselves and reclaim agency in choosing a response that is conscious rather than just a knee-jerk reaction.

‘What if healing wasn’t about unlearning anything? What if it was about becoming compassionately intimate with everything? Your brain doesn’t have a delete button. What if it was all about shifting your inner power dynamics, from parts that do not serve you anymore, to a more compassionate awareness of who you are?’

Xavier Dagba

The tension that exists now can create profound moments of connecting to ourselves as the energy invites us to reflect inward and level up how we approach our actions.

We learn to let go of what doesn’t matter and tune into what is in deeper resonance for our soul. We will be able to feel the magnetic pull to what energizes our frequency. Through this process we can shed old patterns and empower ourselves to meet the moment with an inner steadiness and intuitive understanding. What is meant for us won’t pass us by.

We Return to Simplicity

Taurus seeks what is uncomplicated, helping us to focus on what is before us. When life feels overwhelming, we learn to find balance through anchoring deep within. When we are aligned to our own values and living by our own honor code, we don’t get wrapped up in comparisons or the wants of others—we simply live our own truth. We surround ourselves with what we love and what brings us joy. We live in reverence for the timing of the natural world, holding the insight that a rose blooms without interference. This new moon invites us to honor the art of self-care by listening to what we need and being brave enough to counter the dominant culture by embracing stillness and following our own rhythms. Taking time to replenish and restore is an act of wisdom.

“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.”

Hans Hofmann

We Open to Receive

Taurus is associated with the archetype of the Gardener, who is resourceful and builds a relationship with the earth. They cultivate a connection to nature, learning the seasons around them and developing a level of self-trust to flow with the changing seasons. In the natural world, growth, emergence, and blossoming are never rushed—nature trusts in its own timing.

“Why is patience so important?”

“Because it makes us pay attention.”

Paulo Coelho

This cycle invites us to slow down and notice the gifts and nourishment that are available. We are invited to be intentional with the seeds we are planting and to trust the timing for their fruition.

In the shadow, Taurus can have a lack consciousness or a dependency on others for survival, as they do not trust in their own ability to be resourced. It is an important aspect of the evolutionary development for Taurus to learn to move away from spaces they have outgrown and to be willing to share their gifts with the world.

This lunation invites us to examine our relationship to receiving. Is it challenging for us to enjoy other peoples’ generosity? Do we have limits on what we can receive? Do we allow others to support us when we need support or do we strive to hold the perception that we have it all together and do everything ourselves? Do we have the patience to wait for what we truly deserve? Receiving is a powerful transmission of love.

“Wouldn’t it be powerful if you fell in love with yourself so deeply that you would do just about anything if you knew it would make you happy? This is precisely how much life loves you and wants you to nurture yourself. The deeper you love yourself, the more the universe will affirm your worth. Then you can enjoy a lifelong love affair that brings you the richest fulfillment from inside out.”

The Invitation

We have come to an evolutionary crossroads. Collectively and individually, we are closing out old cycles on the planet. We have faced our own restrictions and better understand what we long to commit to and who we are destined to become. We are being guided to anchor into ourselves, rooting down to rise up. A new way forward is unfolding as we step out as a conscious cocreator to help author the new story.

It is the nature of Taurus to thrive, to connect to life force energy, to take in nourishment and follow the natural impulse of what feels good and what helps us to feel more alive. New doors of potential are available now and ask that we be willing to share more of our creative gifts with the world. We are invited to extend and grow beyond our comfort zones and past selves to foster the vibrant emergence that is starting to blossom.
