Gemini New Moon: Turning Point

The new moon in 6°05’ of Gemini on May 26th, 2025 (exact at 10:02 p.m. CDT) is a turning point.

A shift has occurred and new directions are on the horizon. When we rest and find quiet, we can hear the pulse of what is beckoning us forward.

We are encouraged to welcome change, reimagine what is possible, and listen closely in order to understand. We also have the opportunity to transform the way we think, communicate, and perceive our reality.

“If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro’ narrow chinks of his cavern.”

William Blake

This new moon marks the beginning of an 18-month cycle. We are birthing a new frequency of divine intelligence and discovering different ways to integrate information. We become more aware of the energy that aligns with our thoughts and stay open to fresh perspectives and insights. This can be a powerful time for revolutionary ideas, reclaiming our voices, and to listen deeply to what is arising in our conscious awareness.

This lunation is aligned with Pluto in Aquarius which supports us in releasing the paradigms of the past and reweaving creative ways of being, thinking, and seeing in the world. Pluto shows us what needs to evolve and transform in order to be more empowered. This alignment activates a powerful understanding of emotions and motivations. We may feel momentum in areas of our lives that have felt stagnant or stuck and can now confidently move forward.

One notable part of this new moon chart is the strong influence of Gemini involving the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Hygeia, Sedna, and Jupiter. With so much emphasis on Gemini, we are encouraged to pay attention to our thoughts, any information that comes our way, and to be intentional with our words. It is vital to create the space within ourselves to reflect and listen. Gemini teaches us that everything can be viewed from multiple angles, and it is important to stay open and teachable. We currently have the ability to connect the dots and see the patterns that are emerging. Uranus will enter the sign of Gemini in July and go over this same degree. This symbolizes a foreshadowing of what is ahead. We may intuitively feel a sense of a new direction. Uranus in Gemini will also form a long-term alignment with Pluto and Neptune, planting seeds for much larger collective shifts.

A Fresh Start

This new moon asks us to think beyond our everyday realities and reconceptualize any beliefs or ideas that have been too limiting. We can form connections where we have been bound by our own ideas and conditioned rules. We can transcend our self-imposed limitations to find greater levels of freedom within.

We have the ability now to bring awareness to our patterns, embrace our dual nature, and heal any unacknowledged, unwelcome, or repressed parts of ourselves. The challenge in shifting our perspective may be in accepting our more vulnerable aspects or the messiness of the world as we move towards greater personal and collective shifts. How are we integrating all that we have learned? Do we take time to listen so that we can understand someone else’s view? How are we caring for ourselves and adapting within these unprecedented times?

“Deep listening is at the foundation of Right Speech. If we cannot listen mindfully, we cannot practice Right Speech”

Thich Nhat Hanh

This is a critical moment to have important conversations where we not only clarify our needs, but also begin to understand another’s perspective.

We may feel guided to check in with our most cherished connections and ask how they are. We may also become more aware of how much we have been doing and start to acknowledge our exhaustion and overwhelm, focusing on quieting our mind and pace.

There may be a tendency towards an overactive mind and we might be challenged to take a break so that we can reclaim agency over our thoughts. We may also find it difficult to see how things will get better or that it seems impossible to discover a resolution to problem; however, we must remember that we cannot always see the whole of our life’s journey beyond our own perspective. Our minds may have a lot to say and might even be quite convincing at times, but we must be open to the perspective that we may not have all the answers.

This cycle brings energetic awakenings and a feeling of coming back to life.

Our mind may spark with creative ideas, but it is our higher self that speaks to us through our hearts and intuitive knowing. We explore who we can be and move into better soul alignment.

“And suddenly you just know it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.”

Meister Eckhart

Saturn Enters Aries

Saturn entered Aries two days ago where it joined Neptune for the first time since 1861. This alignment activates potential and starting points that, through consistent action and effort, can be shaped into a viable structure. A new day is dawning in the Aries area of our chart. We begin to develop our inner authority through a better understanding of our impulses and the consequences of our choices. We trust ourselves deeply, and courageously act on inspiration. This is a call to take greater responsibility for where we are investing our time and energy.

Saturn and Neptune will form an exact conjunction in Aries on February 20th, 2026. This alignment will guide us into higher levels of self-trust, independence, and self-leadership. In the meantime, we are learning a powerful way of being in the moment, along with accessing our intuition.

The Invitation

This cycle offers new beginnings, new inspiration, and a clean slate to begin again. Signs, opportunities, and information are being revealed and guiding us onto new paths. We are invited to stay open and teachable to the storyline that is unfolding, and getting out of our own way to follow any signs of synchronicity.

We are invited to stay open and teachable to the storyline that is unfolding, and getting out of our own way to follow any signs of synchronicity.

This lunation supports us in following our curiosity so that we might be led to new pathways and new learning. We slow down to take in what we are being taught and to contemplate all that we have been learning. This cycle brings clarity and release from overwhelm and mental fatigue, along with a precise indicator of what we want in this new chapter of our lives.

“I don’t have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness — it’s right in front of me if I’m paying attention and practicing gratitude.”

Brené Brown
